Calling the Pea Hill Team was probably one of the best calls I have ever made. We live in Europe and just bought an incredible house on lake Gaston that was only on the market for a total of 48 hours. Or rather, the Pea Hill Team bought it for us ! Even though we had never actually met in person, Doug Merrifield and his team took care of everything and allowed me to close the deal from overseas and on time. My friends, who have lived on the lake for many years, simply could not believe it. Doug is not only a trustworthy, helpful and kind person, he is also a very solid professional. Due to his background in corporate finance, he is very knowledgeable about property value fluctuations and able to give you well-balanced advice. I would definitely recommend the Pea Hill Team’s service if ever you are thinking about buying or selling on the lake.

They gave us honest feedback on the properties and the market and guided us with grace and kindness to our final purchase. They were very helpful with suggestions on how to declutter and stage our home for showing.The video and photos of the home were top notch!They kept us looped in with regards to all showings and gave feedback after each one.As we didn’t live at the house full time, they were present for all the inspections and any work that was required prior to the sale.They are highly recommended.

Our experience with Doug and Tina was outstanding in so many ways.First, and very important, we had some very initial showings and they took the time to make sure they truly understood what we were looking for. Then from that point forward, they only called to discuss properties they knew would be possible fits for us. They did not waste our time on properties they knew wouldn't work.Next, any property we considered, Doug and Tina always put our needs first by saying "This is a nice property, but for you, there are a few things you should consider. X, Y, Z". That was great because they knew the area better that we did so that local knowledge payed off.Finally, when we made an offer on the property, I am COMPLETELY convinced that our offer was accepted over higher priced offers because of Doug and Tina's ability to sell us and our offer as clients to the seller.If you are looking for a property in the Lake Gaston area, especially if you are not familiar with the area, you can not go wrong with Doug and Tina!

Shopping for a new home is exhausting. The Pea Hill Team, (Tina, Sarah & Doug) brought inexhaustible energy to our search which kept us going through the process, and without being pushy or demanding. Tina and Doug asked all the right questions and then listened carefully to our answers, ensuring that they knew how to prioritize the features we valued in a new home. Although we live on the west coast, they provided just the right amount of communication, transparency and advice making our decision-making process comfortable and even enjoyable. This was important, especially considering the relationship between Dominion Energy, the lake owner, and a prospective home buyer. The Pea Hill Team knows the Lake Gaston area extremely well. Doug met us there many times after we were under contract while we discussed rennovations and designs. He also assisted on a few items that needed address that was found during inspections.
